Introduction

Hi there, my name is Rachel Bailey. I'm a high schooler in Salisbury, Maryland, or "Smallsbury" as we call it.  Recently I have been feeling a little stuffy and trapped if you keep reading you'll find out why. When I say stuff I mean filled to the brim with emotions. So what better way to get some stuff off my chest? I'll write it here!!! So here is me.
That is me. Red hair, blue eyes, pointy nose and crooked smile. All of which I have slowly but surely come to love. I have always been insecure with my body, though recently the media and society has begun to accept me and my body.  Anyway brought about that. On to what I love to do.
The first picture is me in my natural habitat. On stage. My life revolves around what performance I have coming up. Whether it's opera, my personal favorite, musical theater, jazz, or rock. I am in many bands and choirs. Last week I was cast as one of the lead sopranos in Mozart's opera 'The Marriage of Figaro' for the Philadelphia International Musical Festival. I would love to peruse a career as a performer or a teacher of music.  On to the next love of my life! MY DOG!!!
This is my one-year-old dog Zeppelin. He is big. When he stands on his back legs he is easily 5'7. He is also a pogo stick. He jumps so high when he sees us from a window or meets someone new. He is always there to comfort me and he never try's to reason my emotions. I love zeppelin so much and in the picture you see him letting me cry on him after my knee surgery.
This is my mom, the light of my world. I would not be in the place I am today without her. She comforts me in my times of need. She holds me when I cry and tells me it will work out. She encourages me to peruse my dreams and love myself. She is my moral compass and I thank her for everything she has ever done.

That is me, in the hospital, with my sister and her boyfriend. My sister's name is Lauren and her boyfriend is Matt. I love them. My sister has always been a role model to me. I used to sneak into her room at night and she would teach me how to do the math she was learning in school. She would play piano for me while I sang. Her boyfriend is my the brother I never had. Earlier this week they asked me if they "good role models" for a couple. And without hesitation, I said yes. They sat together in a chair next to my hospital bed and told me they would stay till I fell asleep. I know I can always count on those two for advice and love.

That's it for our introduction, but another post will be out before you know it. Thanks for reading!!!

Lovingly, Rachel.
